Jane won't sit for a picture...but she sure will bounce for one!
This quilt was a new pattern for Quilt Market, called Hop Skip. It's a little pattern, and a crib quilt size at 39 ½" x 50". It's made with only 4 quarters, plus a fun print for the large borders and a background. The fabrics and especially the bouncing ball print from my Bounce line was perfect for it!
This little quilt flies together, and is good for showing off fabrics with a larger print.
I quilted it myself with the blue clouds print on the back, and used my favorite blue plus print for the binding.
I always get lots of questions about my machine stitched binding, you can find a tutorial here for how I machine stitch my bindings if you are curious.
Hop Skip can be found here as a PDF, or here as paper pattern.
Friday is our last day of school. I always have mixed feelings. Between "YAY they'll be home and no more schedules!" and, "Nooooo they'll be home and no more schedules!".
I'm working on our making our daily chore charts for the summer...and my kids are going to be thrilled (insert a swimming pool of sarcasm).
Happy Summer!
