    Pop & Peach

    Nov 10, 2009

IMG_1354 If I were having a girl I would keep totally keep this one.  I love the backing fabric, its been in my stash for awhile and I’m not even sure who makes it, but it goes with the front perfectly.  I love the squares on the front and the big dots on the back.  I did some grid quilting on this one, I always love the end result.  The binding is flea market fancy. IMG_1345-1 This one is in the shop. IMG_1362

Very cute! It looks like a Michael Miller Disco Dot print, but in a color they no longer make.

I know that backing! I have used it for a dress for my daughter. They have it, along with a few coordinating prints, at Hobby Lobby!

Great choice with your backing. Those polka dots are great. Quick question - when you are buying fabric for your stash, how much do you usually grab?

Great quilt. I like the way you angled the stripes the same way. This once again proves you can take a simple quilt pattern and make a fantastic quilt.

That is absolutely darling. I love it so much! The colors and backing are perfectly cute. Sorry you won't be keeping it, but if it helps - the fabric you have for your baby on the way will turn out so cute too. Love those fabrics just as well. Can't wait to see what you put together with them.

P.S. Love your blog. Thanks for sharing all of your beautiful quilts! It's part of my daily dose of quilting inspiration :)!

I love it! Oh, and I was always told to buy 3 yrds when buying for your stash. I don't know if that's still the norm or what, though. If it's something I'd use for backing, though, I always get 6 yrds. I'd love to hear what others do!

This is one of the best charm quilts I've come across. 1. It isn't all from the same line. 2. You have such interesting texture through the mix of dots, stripes, and scale. Brava.
