I drew out this Terrace quilt design over a year ago, but saved it until I had a fabric line to use it with. It's perfect for showing off the large florals and plaids of Forget-Me-Not...and the tiny blue dot makes a great background.
This pattern is in the same style as Jelly Weave, and Picnic...with a woven look but easy to make.
Forget-Me-Not comes to stores in October in case you missed it....it's getting closer!
Terrace is a fat quarter pattern in 5 sizes. It's an on point design but the blocks are easy and it goes together pretty quickly with some chain piecing. As I was making this quilt I kept thinking how cute it would be in a kids novelty print with large scale fabrics and some basics.
Kait quilted this for me...it's hard to see the design but it's florals and shapes and what looks like cherries. It adds some movement and charm to this quilt.
The Terrace quilt pattern can be found here as a PDF, or here as a paper pattern. The quilt below is Primrose, can be found here.
My kids have been out of school for a couple of weeks and I'm feeling adjusted to the extra noise/mess/eating that comes with 4 kids being home. I love having my kids home, and especially love watching them remember how to be friends instead of just siblings. But also the sole purpose of life for my 12 year old boy is to tease his little sisters until they scream and Mom loses it. :)
Happy Summer!

I LOVE this quilt! The fabrics are GREAT! I can also visualize it in so many other themes as well. I just purchased a couple patterns from you yesterday, but now I need to go back & get this one too! I just bought some fat quarters with school prints on them to make a quilt for my granddaughter who is starting school in September. Terrace would be a perfect pattern for those fat quarters! I've owned your Brightly pattern for awhile now, but it is hiding (in a very safe place in my quilt studio), so I purchased it again,to make a quilt with the Between Friends fabrics. It is going to be SO AWESOME & a 40th Friendiversary for my BFF who lives in Canada (I live in NY). We haven't seen each other for years due to the pandemic, so the Brightly quilt will make a BIG BRIGHT SMILE on her face when she gets it! :) Thanks for all your great patterns & tutorials! :)

Love the new quilt pattern, and the story of kids at home for the summer! Brings back so many memories (of my brothers teasing and my Mom losing it). I remember being so surprised when he tough this first girl friend home, and he was polite with her. Who knew that my brother had it in him?!

I always love summer and having the kids home. It was our sweet no rush time. My youngest is now 39 but I’m enjoying summer again with my sweet grandson! I love your patterns. Hugs,

I love your quilts! I made your Nautical Flags quilt for my husband for our 30th wedding anniversary and it's beautiful. I love the new line of fabric and can't wait to try the flowers in jars table runner. Would you consider designing an owl quilt? I can't find one I like and I love all your designs!
