I called this quilt Positive because I'm positive it's my favorite quilt. Also there are plus signs in the design...so there's that too. ;)
Also I told you I was borderline obsessed with this background fabric...so I used it again with this one!
When I was working through this quilt design I had 2 goals, that it would be made with one simple block, and that it would have nesting seams throughout (imagine me slow clapping for nesting seams).
My love for nesting seams is right up there with my love for cookie dough.
This one is the sister quilt to Simplify, with the added background and very different block construction. I obviously can't get enough of plus quilts.
This quilt can be made with jelly roll strips, layer cake squares, or SCRAPS. This would be perfect for the leftover binding scraps...or really any large scraps. For this quilt I used a jr. jelly roll of the new Ombre colors by Moda, and the same gray background fabric I used for my Chickens quilt.
Kathy quilted this for me, and I backed it with a print from my Hazel fabric line.
I also made this one with a print background I'll share later. A print background is so good in this pattern!

I love BOTH of the new patterns! The color placement in Positive is so good... Is there a method, or trial and error on the design wall? Maybe what I am loving is the color gradients in the ombre fabric. And the Chickens...I just love them!! I will order both for sure.
